Position: Goalkeeper
Tag Line: I drink, I drink! |
| A member of 'A' division
third placed Jurong Junior College team, Zhi Han is
an experienced shot stopper, tends to get his body
in the way of everything that is thrown at him and
is one of those keepers who can look unbeatable at
times. Cool under pressure, agile, and blessed with
lightning reflexes, he is a defender’s dream.
Although sometimes too quick off his line, he is adept
in one-on-one situations and is not afraid to give
his fellow defensive colleagues a good ear-bashing,
should the situation arise. |

| Aaron has proven on
many occasion to be an extremely able shot stopper
when in goal. He produces spectacular saves as effortlessly
as he performs the more mundane tasks required of
a classy custodian.Though may lack confidence at times,
his efforts to do his best for the team whenever called
upon will always be appreciated. Dislikes to come
off his line but knows how to use his body to block
off most dangers.

| An ever reliable keeper
when called upon, a brilliant shot-stopper and a cool
customer in one-on-one situations. He also plays outfield
for the team as a defender or defensive midfielder,
always comfortable with the ball at his feet and provides
many intelligent passes, bringing invaluable experience
and composure to the team. Although too busy managing
his travel agency business, Jun Jie is always a pleasant
surprise when he turns up for the games. |

| Benedetto's skipper,
Jo is a stalwart of the team. What he lacks in speed,
he makes up for with great anticipation, aggression
and power. Never one who gives up, his war cries inspire
those around him and keeps the team focused. Since voted
as skipper in a landslide victory, has added much stability
to the squad and has worked to earn many's respect.
Surely Benedetto is in good hands. |

Born: 24/1/1983
Position: Defender
Nickname: Jar-mess
Sai-kang Party: 1st V-Captain/Treasurer |
| Extremely confident,
commanding in the air, defends with intelligence and
guile and a constant danger coming up from the back
for set-pieces, the ex-sajc captain has become a rock
in defense. Tactically inclined, Jaemes commands his
line to best contain the opponent's defense, but favors
pushing up the defense line as far up as possible to
give opponents little space to maneuver. |

Born: 20/5/1984
Position: Defender
Nickname: Boss
Sai-kang Party: Manager |
| A rock in the central
of defense. Pace is his main asset, there is not many
who can out sprint him and has used his pace often to
cover up fellow defenders' mistakes. Used to be quiet
worker for the team but has now developed a commanding
voice in the defense. His massive contribution off of
the field in managing the team has not gone unnoticed
because deep-down, everyone in Benedetto holds him up
in great appreciation. |

Koon Chung, Ted-Elias |
 |
Born: 2/6/1988
Position: Defender/Midfielder
Nickname: Destroyer |
| Being the younger brother
of Jo, Ted has outshone him and the other senior defenders
as well. Flexibility to play across the whole back line
and as a defensive midfielder, he is now a mainstay
in defense. Faultless defensively, a tireless ball-winner
and one with lots of punch in his tackles, Ted also
has an eye for potentially dangerous overlapping runs.
Ted always emerge out of tough 50-50 challenges winning
the posession and leaving the opponent rolling about
in pain. |

Born: 27/12/1984
Position: Defender
Nickname: Papergoat
Sai-kang Party: Treasurer |
| Zhi Yang is a model
of consistency at left back, an elegant, reliable and
solid one. He started out in left back but has matured
into a good left sided player, either at left back or
left midfield. Zhi Yang may lack some speed but he makes
up for that by his experience, positioning and ability
to stay cool and calm in all situations. Tagged a soft
touch in earlier days, he has learnt to play it both
smart and hard at the right times. A Dean's list scholar
in NTU accountancy, Neo is someone we are all very proud
of. |

Born: 18/9/1990
Position: Defender
Nickname: Jie
Sai-kang Party: Photographer |
| Younger brother of Wei
Liang, Wei Jie is ever willing to learn and listen to
the more experienced and older players. One who is improving
by leaps and bounds, has already shown his defensive
prowess by often being at the right place at the right
time. Always keen to make his presence known, Wei Jie's
attitude and enthusiasm on the pitch makes him a frustrating
proposition and an awesome competitor for any comer.
He is above any intimidation and seldom gets distracted
by any effort to distract him. |

Born: 18/5/1984
Position: Defender
Nickname: Hamster
Sai-kang Party: Assistant Manager |
| A no nonsense defender,
throwing his body into every challenge, he is famed
for taking the daylights out of countless flamboyant
wingers. Despite his reckless edge, his heart and passion
more than makes up for any lack of skill or flair. In
addition to his armour is his ability to provide dangerous
(sometimes meaningless) runs down the right flank, giving
the attack more options to explore - like a hamster
on the treadmill. |

Born: 15/1/1990
Position: Defender
Nickname: Micah Richards
|
| Abel is a later addition
from the same batch of 'youngsters'. Has been used as
a right back but is also comfortable playing anywhere
in defense. Always determined to learn from the older
players and to do better, Abel is a classy defender
who is always comfortable on the ball, has shown superb
potential with his vision and willingness to get into
tackles. His industrial runs often add an extra threat
down the flanks. Still at a good age and developing
as a player, he is definitely one to watch. |

|
 |
Born: 18/4/1987
Position: Defender/Midfielder
Nickname: Kai/Csm/Ndu
|
| Yue Kai is the workhorse
of the Team with his tireless hassling. Ability to hit
long raking through balls and power to strike from distance
have made him a vital addition to the engine room. Has
chipped in with his fair share of goals - usually a
result of industrial runs from deep. Kai also has no
problems with reverting to defense where he used to
play when representing jurong junior college along with
Zhi Han, performing admirably whenever called upon for
defensive duties. |

Born: 29/10/1984
Position: Midfielder
Nickname: Keano/Ji-dan |
| A testimony of Mr. Lee's
work, Noel has worked from an useless goalkeeper to
an industrial and tireless midfielder. Nicknamed Keano
in his earlier days, he has en eye for well timed and
beautiful tackles. Noel's tackles, along with Wei Liang
and Ted's, are things that intimidate opponents away
from their usual game. Keen to prove he is yet a finished
article, has always worked on his ball skills to become
a player that can do it all. However, simplicity and
determination will always remain the key to his game. |
|
|
 |
Born: 29/3/1985
Position: Midfielder
Tag Line: Ball too soft. |
| Benson plays the role
of the deep lying defensive playmaker. Pace might not
be his primary attribute but experience allows him to
crucially hold his position perfectly, at the base of
a midfield diamond. This ensures the shape of the side
is always consistent and from this deeper position he
is able to control the pace of play with his broad range
of passing. His eye for vital passes, ability to send
in pin point crosses and tackle makes him a very well-balanced,
all rounder midfielder. A fantastically simplistic player,
threading simple passes building up the momentum is
Benson's forte. |

 |
Born: 22/2/1984
Position: Midfielder
Tag Line: No I won't fix your comp. |
| Midfield dynamo Bryan
has matured into one of Benedetto's vital players. Comfortable
in either a defensive, controlling midfield role or
in a more advanced position, he is creative, with excellent
vision, passing ability and capable of producing brilliant
free-kicks. Bryan has a fine range of passing, making
him a quality midfield weapon, launching long raking
balls behind opponent's defense. Has used his physique
to good effect, performing a brilliant job as defender
when need be. |

Born: 26/11/1982
Position: Midfielder/Forward
Nickname: Uncle John |
| John is a hard-working
orchestrator of play and a neat passer with an eye for
goal, he also has the ability to spread out play in
tight situations. His body strength despite his diminutive
built also allows him to mix it with the tough defenders.
John has proved himself to be a consistent performer
in the team. Always looking to exploit holes in opponent's
defense, either by making late run ins or putting in
the through balls for the forwards, he try to chip in
with his own fair share of goals. |
|
|
 |
Born: 5/8/1987
Position: Midfielder/Forward
Nickname: Xiao Wang |
| A later addition to
the squad, Wang Di is an immensely talented footballer.
His performances for the the team is outstanding, not
forgetting to mention his impressive goal to game ratio.
Opponent's defenses find it hard to live with his pace,
close control and finishing ability. Wang has proved
himself to be one of the most exciting talents around,
able to run with the ball at pace, score sublime goals
and create for others with a fine range of passing. |
|
|
 |
Born: 5/10/1990
Position: Midfielder
Nickname: Ah Sia/Gangster |
| Joining us later on,
Clement's enthusiasm, ability to keep the ball close
to his feet and run into good positions would cause
problems for all comers. His pace, low center of gravity,
control and ferocity makes him a ideal winger for the
team. Likes to go down the line and has an eye for killer
passes into the box. Comfortable with both feet thus
able to play on either flank, Clement is a versatile
midfielder who will attack all day. His questionable
temper is often compared to Wei Liang's during his younger
days, but with experience, anger will definitely evolve
into unfaltering determination. |

 |
Born: 28/9/1983
Position: Midfielder/Forward
Nickname: Skatan |
|
Kah Yeu possesses great
skill and accurate shooting with a tremendous work rate
and also has an array of passes in his locker. Although
not being one with silky skills and fancy tricks, He
hardly ever puts a foot wrong in games, has a sublime
touch and can pick out the perfect pass or time a perfect
run behind the defense. Added to his endless running
power is the ability to find the net at the most crucial
time with either foot. Kah Yeu mostly lines up on the
left, but is allowed to float around the pitch and can
hurt teams from anywhere, such is his quality. |
|
|
 |
Born: 19/3/1983
Position: Midfielder/Defender
Nickname: Zick Zack |
|
Although Zhong He broke
into the side as a winger, he later carved out a reputation
as a bullish, useful holding midfielder and full back,
an important and versatile squad member. An ankle injury
picked up in 2004 ruled him out for a long period, since
recovering from the injury, Zhong He has worked hard
to get back to his very best. He is most at home on
the left side of midfield, but can also play in defense
and on the right wing as well. His superb crossing ability
makes him a lethal wide man. When he does have a chance,
he also packs a good shot. |
|
|
 |
Born: 3/10/1989
Position: Midfielder
Nickname: Sealion |
| One of the most exciting
and dangerous wingers we have seen around, Nison has
pace to burn. Although sometimes criticised for his
over-elaboration, gamesmanship and tendency to disappear
in games, he is still getting better with every game.
His two-footedness and ability to play on either wing
or as a support striker makes him an intergral part
of Benedetto's midfield. An attacking midfielder, most
comfortable on the flanks, Nison has incredible dribbling
skills that see him ghost past opponents with consummate
ease. Although Nison should look to get on the scoresheet
more often, he is full of tricks and can out-fox even
the most experienced of defenders. One thing's for sure,
we love this 'gelek'. The burning question remains,
is Nison a Liverpool Red or a Manchester Red? |

Born: 1/1/1984
Position: Midfielder
Nickname: Rugger |
| This playmaker drives
his club's attacks with his impressive array of passing
skills, while his passion for the game can never be
called into question. Joe's engine, passing range and
dead-ball skills, borne out of countless hours spent
on the training ground, have made him a hugely effective
performer for Benedetto United. Joe raises his game
to become a important member who inspires by example
if not words. Coupled with his tackling and leadership
qualities, his quiet personality matches his unspectacular
style but his distribution will always be invaluable
to Benedetto's success. Joe is recognised as our classic
box-to-box midfielder, extremely powerful and with great
energy and stamina to match undoubted skill. |

Born: 15/9/1990
Position: Midfielder/Defender
Nickname: Argentinian |

Reuben can play as a
left-back, a wing-back, a left-sided midfielder and
a defensive midfielder. With his sweet left foot, He
has earned a reputation as a versatile left-sided player
with a gift for free-kicks and a flair for attacking.
Whenever called upon for defensive duties, he never
fails to slot in as though he had been playing for years
and his performances as a solid left-back has earned
much acclaim. Reuben has class, poise and a great eye
for attacking options and is a calm, effective and physically
strong player. His pace, defensive attributes and ability
to get forward make him a vital player for Benedetto.

Born: 2/5/1991
Position: Midfielder
Tag Line: Ehhhhhhhhhhhhh! |
| Cousin of Wei Jun and
Yue Kai; Kevin is an attacking midfielder or playmaker,
blessed with speed, touch, technique, guile and physical
strength, he has managed to combine his natural flair
with a tactical discipline to become an integral part
of both Benedetto and his school team. With controlled
and intelligent displays, and a danger from set plays,
Kevin looks to be another astute member for Benedetto
United. An inventive player, full of running and boasting
great vision Kevin should look to developing into a
match-winning player. At his best, this little midfield
magician has the ability to tear teams apart with his
fine passing ability. It is not going to take long for
Kevin to become a full fledged member of this Family.

Born: 25/8/1985
Position: Midfielder
Nickname: Kok
|
One of the most talented in Benedetto, Kok's awareness
on the ball is highlighted as one of the reasons for
his effectiveness. Terrific playmaking skills has made
him a thorn in many opponent's eyes. Kok has always
been a steady player, capable of both a holding or forward
role. His size means he is rarely brushed off the ball
and his distribution has always received rave reviews.
Kok has turned in performances of great vision and passing
ability, his eye for goal, attacking influence and deadball
ability make him one of the best midfielders around
in Benedetto. Kok also chips in with the odd goal, with
a penchant for the spectacular. |

Superb player who scores
spectacular, unforgettable goals. As our chief striker,
he never gives up and never fails to motivate and encourage
those around him. A powerhouse performer, Wei Jun puts
the fear of God into any defense he faces. With immense
strength that wins him countless headers, a thunderbolt
shot from anywhere, pace and great vision he is regarded

Born: 6/4/1990
Position: Midfielder
Nickname: Kaka |

Wen Hao has an unquenchable
passion for football. A talented youngster, technically
brilliant and a wonderful dribbler, Wen Hao is a direct
winger who terrorizes full-backs at his best. His trickery
and delivery from the flanks provides the team with
an added dimension though, and he is also defensively
adept enough to play as a wing back. Blessed with breathtaking
skill and packs one of the most powerful shots around,
the quiet Wen Hao is a regular partner of chief striker
Wei Jun. |

 |
Born: 2/2/1984
Position: Forward/Midfielder
Nickname: Desmondo |
| A committed and tireless
striker who is always positive and full of running.
Skills aside, Desmond's willingness to motivate and
spur the team's morale makes him a ideal addition to
the squad. He is a strong, powerful forward who is good
in the air and a constant threat. Never one to give
defenders any sort of time on the ball, Desmond has
made a big impact with his committed approach to the
game. His ability to lead from the front, bringing fellow
attackers into the play is a priceless asset to the
team. A clinical striker who does not need a second
invitation to score. |

|
 |
Born: 16/9/1983
Position: Midfielder/Forward
Nickname: Iranian |
| An electrifying sight
when in full flow, Yash combines brilliant technique
with ability to get past defenders with ease and a keen
eye for goal. Extremely comfortable with the ball at
his feet, he manages to trick opponents into a false
sense of security and then he's gone. Enjoys cutting
inside when playing as a winger and creates many chances
for himself and fellow forwards. Often, the only way
to stop him is to take him down. A hard running, solid
performer who never lets the team down. |

 |
Born: 9/12/1990
Position: Midfielder/Forward
Nickname: Gem |
| Another junior from
the fairfield academy, Jeremy scored on his debut for
Benedetto. Since then has improved his all rounded game.
Versatile, dynamic and creative, Jeremy gives the squad
several additional options. Possesses the ability to
beat players with ease and always game for a foray down
the flank when playing as right back, Jeremy is also
never afraid to take a shot on goal. Fast and quick
thinking makes him a good forward and as a defender,
his ability to attack as well as he defends has given
the team an attacking edge when needed. |

Born: 30/7/1984
Position: Forward
Tag Line: @##$#%^%^&! |
| A small, nippy striker
who will buzz around the oppositions defense for the
entire game, David's blistering pace and agility make
him a dangerous customer. He may lack the size but is
never afraid to hassle and close down opposing defenders,
giving them no time on the ball whatsoever. He thrives
on any sort of let ups in opponent's defense to score
goals and often win vital free kicks and penalties for
the team. A silent and tireless performer who knows
where the the goal is. |

Born: 7/4/1984
Position: Forward
Nickname: Tank
Sai-kang Party: Photographer |
| Elvin is a strong, powerful
and fiery forward who relies heavily on his power to
terrorize the opposition. He is good at holding the
ball up, willing to take defenders on and a constant
threat. His strong and powerful displays have been important
to Benedetto's system, often creating openings and chances
for his fellow forwards. Elvin also carries shooting
power from distance, scoring a handful of memorable
screamers. |
|
|
 |
Born: 28/11/1990
Position: Forward
Nickname: Xiang |
| Attributed with a
deceiving average body frame but remarkable body strength,
Xiang's main attributes are powerful shooting, a superb
range of passing, ability to bring his teammates into
the play and pace to burn. Never one to blast past
a goalkeeper in a tight situation, he is as calm as
it gets. He plays with plenty of grit and determination
and a real flair player as well. At his peak, he can
do it all: tackle and hassle, lead the offensive line,
strike a rocket-shot from distance and threaten in
the air. |
|
Syakir
Al-Hasyir Bin Norazani |
 |
Born: 1/3/1990
Position: Forward
Nickname: Recoba |
|
Another recruit from
NAFC, Syakir has fought himself into Benedetto's game
with his combination of pace and deadly accuracy in
front of goal. Highly creative and versatile, his low
centre of gravity has helped his development and he
has proved to have considerable strength and balance
despite his diminutive size. With his partnership with
Wen Hao blossoming, Syakir will begin to get the recognition
he deserves. His first goal for Benedetto against barclays,
meant there was no doubt as to his quality in front
of goal. This pint-sized two footed forward blessed
with pace, touch and an unerring eye for goal, and an
awaited development of a brilliant footballing brain,
Syakir possesses all the attributes for a striker in
the modern game. |
